Travels with a Geek is a new Southeast U.S. travel platform focused on uncovering the history, pop culture, and hidden gems that make each destination unique — without all of the overwhelm.
As an introvert, I know that travel planning isn’t just about what to do once you arrive. It’s about where you’re going to park, what your picky eaters will actually enjoy, and how to experience a destination without feeling rushed or crowded. After parking in the wrong place in St. Augustine (and paying the price), I’ve made the mistakes and done the research so you don’t have to.
Travels with a Geek is created by Samantha and her husband as they explore destinations across the Southeast, beginning with Florida and Georgia, through storytelling, local flavor, and practical planning, from historic sites and quirky attractions to food stops and outdoor adventures.
